This is another artist that I found that works really well with batiks. This batik is called "Tree of life Batik". I love all the colors that she used in this batik and the shadow/reflection colors also. I love that the details in this batik consist mainly of lines and swirls and even with those kinds of details you can still clearly tell that it is a tree. I also love the contrasting colors of the light and dark in the sky and on the ground or water. The gradations in the different colors in the tree is amazing, it makes the batik look like a painting.
Marcia is a Louisiana artist that works with mainly oils. She likes to use color theory and design in her work. She also uses nature as the subject and inspiration for all of her artwork, whether she is creating realistic works or abstract works.
